Free stealth model "microwave" now available in Cline

A new stealth model is available in Cline today: microwave. It's free, it's built for coding, and it's available now through the Cline provider.

We've been testing this one internally for the past few weeks and have been impressed with its performance on agentic coding tasks. It handles the standard Cline agentic loop; reading files, executing commands, making edits.

Here's what you need to know:

  • 256k context window; solid headroom for agentic workflows
  • Built for agentic coding; trained to excel at iterative, tool-heavy workflows
  • Free during alpha; no usage limits while it's being refined
  • From a lab you know; more details soon

Getting started

Access microwave through the Cline provider:

  1. Open Cline settings
  2. Select the Cline provider
  3. Choose cline:stealth/microwave
  4. Start coding

Your usage during the alpha period helps the lab refine the model's performance.
